Bond Information

Cash ONLY Bonds: Please take cash directly to the Court issuing the Appearance Bond or to the Detention Center.

Cash or Corporate Surety Bonds: You may pay cash as above or use a Bond Agency.

Inmate Accounts

You may place the money in an inmates account.  Cash, money orders, or cashier's check will be accepted for deposit into their account either through the mail or at the detention center.  No payroll or personal checks will be accepted.  You may also place money on their account by going directly to http://accesscorrections.com

Inmate Telephone System

There are telephones provided in each block. The inmates have access to them during the hours that they are not confined to their cells. The calls from these phones are collect or they can purchase a phone card through their commissary if they have funds available.

  • Inmate calls are monitored and recorded.

Mail

All incoming mail must be delivered through the postal system.  Mail will be distributed to inmates six (6) days a week within twenty-four (24) hours after it is received, excluding Sundays and holidays.

All incoming non-legal mail will be opened by Detention staff, scanned or read for Prohibited Correspondence, inspected for Contraband, checked to ensure that it meets the Address Standard listed below, and logged by Detention staff.

Prohibitive Correspondence

Sexually oriented correspondence is prohibited if it:

  • Violates federal, state, or local obscenity laws
  • Depicts sexual penetration, homosexual acts, sadomasochistic acts, bestiality, or sex acts involving children
  • Poses a threat to the security, good order, or discipline of the jail
  • Encourages or facilitates criminal activity
  • Exacerbates tensions and leads indirectly to disorder
  • Encourages or supports tendencies to objectify other persons or otherwise undermines treatment goals
  • Creates a hostile work environment for Detention staff or inmates

Visitation Instructions

An Inmate at this facility will be able to choose 5 adult visitors to visit them during the designated times.  When an inmate chooses 5 visitors, Detention Staff will validate the approval of said visitors.  Listed visitors will have to provide valid ID at time of visitation. This facility utilizes a video visitation system.

RULES and REGULATIONS

All visitors will conduct themselves in a courteous, polite and professional manner.   Please be respectful of other visitors and their visitation time.Any visitor that appears, or is found to be under the influence of anything, will immediately have to leave.

All visits will be monitored and recorded.  No vulgar language or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated.  If this is found to be breached, the visitation will be terminated for the session and can be indefinite.

Visitation Hours:

Wednesday       A and C Blocks, 7 pm to 9:30 pm

Thursdays         B, D and E Blocks 7 pm to 9:30 pm

Saturdays          A and C Blocks, 9:30 am to 11:30 am, 1 pm to 4 pm

Sundays             B, D and E Blocks 9:30 am to 11:30 am, 1 pm to 4 pm

Fingerprints

All applicants must present government-issued identification.  Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  There is a $5.00 fee for fingerprints.   We accept cash and local (Johnson County) checks.  Exact change is appreciated.  Please call ahead to schedule an appointment.
